Wie immer richten wir uns an zwei Zielgruppen: Chemische Ingenieure mit einem Interesse an Software und IT-Menschen, die sich f\u00fcr die chemische Industrie begeistern. Am Dienstagmorgen habe ich etwas Zeit gefunden, um mehr \u00fcber den <a href=\"https:\/\/dexpi.org\/\">DEXPI<\/a> (Data Exchange in the Process Industry) Standard zu erfahren. Im Rahmen des <a href=\"https:\/\/dexpi.org\/event\/pidmic3\/\">PIDMIC3<\/a> Kongresses habe ich zwei Vortr\u00e4ge besucht. Dabei wurden die 3D-Modellierung und die Angleichung von DEXPI an einen Standard aus der Bauplanung thematisiert wurden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neben DEXPI ist, insbesondere aus Sicht des Computer-aided Engineering, der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.colan.org\/\">CAPE-OPEN<\/a> Standard von besonderer Bedeutung. Er bietet Standardisierung f\u00fcr thermodynamische und physikalische Eigenschaften, Prozessmodelle und Simulationsumgebungen. Diese Standards sollen eine nahtlose Integration und Interoperabilit\u00e4t zwischen verschiedenen Softwarel\u00f6sungen erm\u00f6glichen.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Automatisierungsl\u00f6sungen von Siemens und Beckhoff<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Automatisierungstechnologien in der Prozessindustrie sind ein weiteres faszinierendes Thema. Da ich mit Siemens Simatic Erfahrung an der Uni Dortmund sammeln durfte, war ich besonders begeistert, als ich den beeindruckenden Stand von Beckhoff gefunden habe. Es ist gro\u00dfartig, dass neue Software-L\u00f6sungen im Bereich der speicherprogrammierbaren Steuerungen (PLCs) die Zug\u00e4nglichkeit verbessern. PLCs bieten pr\u00e4zise Steuerungs- und \u00dcberwachungsm\u00f6glichkeiten, die f\u00fcr die Sicherheit und Optimierung von Prozessen unerl\u00e4sslich sind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Destillationstechnologien<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In der n\u00e4chsten Staffel unserer <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/QLhDe1HYtrM?si=p1Hu2HWhIieZpPQe\">YouTube-Video-Serie &#8211; Pragmatic Rust for Engineers<\/a> werden wir das Thema Destillation behandeln und in der Rust-Programmiersprache Simulationen umsetzen. Wer unseren Content verfolgt, hat Bilder von Destillationskolonnen z.B. in Chemieparks gesehen. Aber was befindet sich im Inneren? Die Chemieingenieure antworten darauf. Trays oder Packungen und je nachdem, was man verwendet, ergeben sich unterschiedliche Druckverluste und Massenaustausche. class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Herausforderungen f\u00fcr die IT<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Die IT in der chemischen Industrie steht vor vielf\u00e4ltigen Herausforderungen. Diese lassen sich in drei Hauptbereiche unterteilen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A. <strong>Datenverwaltung<\/strong>: Die Verwaltung unterschiedlicher Daten im gesamten Lebenszyklus ist ein wichtiger Punkt. Dazu bieten viele IT-Unternehmen spezialisierte L\u00f6sungen, z.B. zur Schichtplanung oder f\u00fcr die Wartung. Meist wird dazu auf SAP-Basissysteme aufgesetzt, um Daten sicher und zug\u00e4nglich zu halten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>B. <strong>Datenanalyse<\/strong>: Die Analyse von Prozessdaten zur Optimierung und Vorhersage zuk\u00fcnftiger Entwicklungen erfordert leistungsstarke Analysetools und Algorithmen. Effiziente Datenbanksysteme und -strukturen sind entscheidend. Dabei spielen Machine Learning und K\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz eine immer wichtigere Rolle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C. <strong>Computer-aided Engineering und Design of Experiments<\/strong>: Moderne CAE-Software erm\u00f6glicht es, schon am Computer zu simulieren, wie Anlagen optimal f\u00fcr das Produkt und die Eingangsrohstoffe ausgelegt werden sollten. Falls die Datenlage f\u00fcr die verwendeten Stoffsysteme nicht ausreichend ist, kann mit DoE-Methoden die Kosten f\u00fcr Experimente gesenkt werden. Dabei werden diese digital so geplant, dass der Informationsgewinn am h\u00f6chsten ist und damit die Unsicherheit in den Daten minimiert wird. Selbst mit vorliegenden Daten, die zeigen, dass ein neuartiges Produkt besser ist fehlt der Wille von der Norm der letzten Jahre abzuweichen. Aus Gewohnheit, oder vielleicht auch Angst, wird dort gekauft, wo schon immer gekauft wurde.
